After strong growth in the first three quarters of 2019 and robust momentum projected in the final quarter of 2019, Avenue Living Asset Management has created a new role dedicated to Business Development within the Exempt Market Dealer space.
With more than $1.4 billion in assets under management, Avenue Living is forecasting growth to more than 10,000 multi-family residential apartment units across Western Canada by the end of 2019. The new Business Development position is a natural part of the evolution of the Avenue Living platform, demonstrating our continued dedication to optimizing our practices and processes for our stakeholders.
Currently Avenue Living has a diversified portfolio, owning and operating more than 8,800 multi-family units, 400,000 square feet of commercial space and 35,000 acres of agricultural land. In the last 12 months, Avenue Living has raised $270 million in equity, surpassing the original raise target by $195 million.
We are pleased to announce Lloyd McDonald as our new Vice President of Business Development, EMD. Mr. McDonald is a leader in the private capital markets, having co-founded one of Canada’s leading national Exempt Market Dealers. Most recently he oversaw Mergers & Acquisitions for ADP (Automatic Data Processing).
As an early pioneer of the private capital markets after it became regulated in 2010, Mr. McDonald has vast industry expertise in the Financial Services and Private Equity sectors. His proficiency in the EMD space is an excellent fit for the Avenue Living platform, enhancing our commitment to our investors.
